Choirs

An Opportunity for Everyone

Westwood UMC offers a singing opportunity for everyone – from pre-school on up. We believe that all Christians are called to offer praise to God. By singing in a choir we blend our own talents with others and in the process become part of something larger that honors our Lord and inspires others. There is a place for you!

Chancel Choir
As WUMC’s principal choir, the Chancel Choir leads worship weekly September through June. The widely varied repertoire is selected from music of our time, from the Church’s rich musical tradition and from other cultures. Everyone is welcome regardless of previous experience. Rehearsals are Thursdays (7:30-9:30pm) in the Choir Room.

Tintinnabulators Handbell Choir
(Adults & Youth)

The Tintinnabulators is an English handbell choir that is open to anyone from 8th grade on up. All abilities – from beginners to advanced – are welcome. Being able to read music is helpful but not necessary to start ringing. We will be happy to show you how to ring – even if you have never rung handbells before. Rehearsals are Sundays (11:20am) in the Handbell Room.
