Where Mercy Fails by Chris Herlinger and (our own) Paul Jeffrey is an incisive work of photo-journalism with trenchant essays that illumine the plight of displaced persons in the Darfur region of Sudan. The authors take readers inside the camps via personal narratives and through compelling images. Along the way the reader discovers a context for understanding the tragedy and how people of faith are responding. This book study will run for three consecutive Sundays beginning September 12th at 11:15am. Costs: $20 for course materials. Participants are asked to be sure to attend every session.
"Where Mercy Fails brings us face to face with the human dimensions of this crisis. . . I commend it as required reading for all caring people who wish to understand this intractable problem and who want to give an informed moral response."
- Archbishop Desmond Tutu
Plan Be meets Sunday mornings following the worship service. Classes are short discussion-format courses that facilitate interactive study for spiritual growth and personal maturity. Courses vary in length and cost based on topic and curriculum.
