On this second Sunday of Advent, our scripture texts invite us to consider Mary’s participation in the Christmas story; alongside her uncertainty and fear, she chooses brave participation in the incarnation. Or, as in the words of prophet Isaiah who described a vision of wolves and lambs dwelling together, we get to imagine another world that’s possible if we participate in God’s generative work. This Sunday, Dr. Jeffrey Kuan, President of the Claremont School of Theology, will join Pastor Molly for a collaborative sermon, and will share about how his work in theological education is helping shape a courageous, just, and compassionate future.
