06 Feb Let’s Deliver Valentines!

Coming up on Sunday? Our Mission Trip to Belmont to deliver valentines! Do you remember this sweet picture from four years ago? We finally get to return and give valentines and smiles and hugs (or a shoulder pat) to the residents Sunday at 11:20. We will also be preparing for Ash Wednesday and the start of the six weeks of Lent. Each child will be bringing home a very special weekly activity for families as well as a Lenten Spiral poster of our daily journey through Lent. Encourage your children to be the spiritual leaders for their family as you use these special valentine shaped conversation starters, one each week. You may also want to enjoy the conversation heart candies we’re slipping into their “Lent in a Bag.”

Last week was amazing. Dr. Carter and Ms. Deanna were outstanding actors in our Simeon & Anna play. And the way each class presented their own play or painting later was pure delight. We loved having Dr. Carter working with our 2nd and 3rd graders and helping us understand the Bible a little more. We’re so thankful for our volunteers.
