Last Sunday was both happy and sad because we had to say good-bye to Pastor Diana for leading us as our Pastor in learning how to love God and others better every day for the past 5 years. How old were you 5 years ago? All during those years, we have had lots of hugs, prayers, cheers, and blessings from her. So, we not only said a sad good-bye to those days, but we also said a big THANK YOU, PASTOR DIANA! Have you heard the good news that she will still be a part of our Westwood Church community? Yes! The answer is YES! So you might see her sometimes, her request is – if and when you do – give her a high-5, fist-bump, or hug.
This Sunday, we will be celebrating the arrival of the Magi who came so very far, following the wild star that led them to Jesus! We call this celebration EPIPHANY SUNDAY. Our story this time will have much candle lighting, and also the ceremony of actually burning some Frankincense and some Myrrh. We hope you can be with us for this unusual story time!
One other thing that will be happening this Sunday – completing our love notes and cards for PASTOR DIANA’S SCRAPBOOK of WW Memories. If you have not had a chance to make something for her scrapbook, we will have time for you to add your love note to it.
