25 Jan What rich imaginations our children have!
What rich imaginations our children have! Here is Lydian’s portrayal of Jonah, the Reluctant Prophet. In her drawing, Jonah is a cat (with a cape!) who is angry that God has asked him to help save Ninevah, a town filled with his enemies who don’t deserve being saved. Ninevah is portrayed here as a fort full of dogs. Notice the flag flying above it has a picture of a bone. Well done, my friends. What a joy it is to see God at work in our Sunday school and your creativeness.
This Sunday we’ll be looking at animals and how the animals can create for humans a sense of “home.” We’ll watch the short, beautiful movie based on the book The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse, and our responses will help us see how to make a space for others to be at home.
