Palm Sunday is a community event. Part religious rally, part political protest, the crowd cried “Hosanna” as Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Today, we echo that “Hosanna,” which is a hope-filled plea for God to save us from our present mess. In 2022, as we wave palm branches and remember that ride into Jerusalem, we face challenges specific to our time; like those ancient crowds, we lift our voices in choir with one another, singing together a prayer for change and healing. We do not sing alone.
