With his parables, Jesus invites us to rethink our relationships with abundance, security, and what we do with our resources. Critical of a man whose solution, when his harvest was too big to fit in his storehouses, was to build himself bigger barns, Jesus invites us to (instead) be “rich toward God.” But what does that look like for us?
