31 Jan Parable of the Good Shepherd
Last Sunday, Pastor Molly started our morning with good ideas and prayer for us to help some other kids who have lost their preschool because of the fires. Even though they have another school that has welcomed them in, they need lots of things! Many of us brought donations of art supplies, books, toys and stuffies to give them. We had fun decorating and filling CARE boxes for these sweet preschool kids, and then we ended our morning with a prayer circle for them.
THIS SUNDAY during music time, Ms. Isabel will be helping us learn a special dance with the song “JesuTawa Pano – Jesus We Are Here”. We will even get to have a special rehearsal at 10:45am in the Sanctuary! REMEMBER, on Sunday, February 9 we will perform this dance in the Sanctuary worship!
THIS SUNDAY, we will also hear the parable of the GOOD SHEPHERD. It is so special, we keep it in a GOLD box. This story continues to comfort, challenge and give voice to many things we are facing now! The good shepherd knows the name of every one of his own, and cares for each of them no matter what! If one of his sheep is missing, he would go anywhere to look for the lost sheep. He leaves the gate of the sheepfold open while he goes out looking for it. The good shepherd says, “When there are places of danger, I show my sheep how to go through.” We hope you can be with us!
