Westwood Church (corner of Warner and Wilshire)

Visit outdoor prayer stations on our campus, designed by visual artists from across our Los Angeles community. Kneel to add prayers of your own in chalk on the sidewalk. This Holy Week installation was created in collaboration with churches across the diversity of our LA region, inspired by words of our funeral prayers and the grief we bear during this pandemic. We encourage you to come to the corner of Warner and Wilshire to pray any time during the week, as we mourn loss together.

Monday, March 29th – Saturday, April 3rd
12noon Daily via Facebook Live
.
Each day, spend time in prayer as leaders in our church offer reflections and insights for this season of grief. Inspired by the prayers of our funeral liturgy, with beautiful music played by Jaxon Williams on classical guitar, each daily prayer is a short invitation to contemplation for this sacred week. Daily video prayers will be posted at noon, available through the rest of the day.

Thursday, April 1st (5-8pm) The Sanctuary
Come to campus for private prayer in the sanctuary on Maundy Thursday from 5-8pm. As the sanctuary transitions from bright daylight to evening darkness, the sanctuary becomes an architectural setting for your Tenebrae prayers. (Masks and social distancing are required.)

Please join us for our Good Friday Guided Meditation presented on Facebook Live at 5pm on Friday, April 2nd (and available for viewing anytime thereafter).
