When Jesus speaks about his glory, he invites us to experience an unusual form of magnificence: this glory comes through self-offering love. As Jesus lays out his new commandment–love–he invites us to imagine a world that honors and elevates those who seek after the wellbeing of others. This Sunday in the Sanctuary, we will celebrate the baptism of Alden Christopher Penrose. Sharing the sacrament of baptism is one way we embody our commitment to divine love.
