Our Good Enough Lent continues with a parable about tree-tending from Jesus; in Luke’s gospel, he tells a story about tending and patience for a fig tree that was not productive. In seasons of our own lives when we are not bearing whatever metaphorical fruit we are expected to produce, this message comes like grace. Our gospel reminds us that we have not yet seen the whole picture, and that we (and this world) are worthy of being nurtured.
