This is the reality of life and faith: we will inevitably face many emotional, relational, professional, physical, and global dangers. We feel desperation when these dangers are imminent. Peter stepped out of the boat at Jesus’ invitation, to walk on water–and then began to sink. In reaching out to Jesus, he found rescue. It required bold courage to step out in faith like that.
