Diana Brown Holbert is an ordained Elder in the Horizon Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. She retired from parish ministry in 2011 but returned to ministry soon after she and John moved to Los Angeles from Dallas, Texas, and became the Minister of Children & Families at Westwood in 2020. In 2025, she re-retired.
Throughout her ministry, her underlying message has been “Emmanuel”: God with us. To that end, she is coming out of retirement again to dedicate the final chapter of her life to talking heart-to-heart with others as a pastoral caregiver and facilitator. The following scripture encourages her in the work:
James 5:14-15
14 Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up, and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.
