FREE ADMISSION & FREE PARKING: Abundant secure parking is available for all events at the church below Belmont Village, the building east of the sanctuary. From Wilshire Blvd., use the driveway by the main steps in front of the sanctuary and proceed under the overhang to the underground parking lot. Please observe the signs that identify which spaces are for church use. After parking, proceed to the stairwell and elevator located at the church end (west end) of the parking structure.

BIO: North Yorkshire (UK) born and a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Josh began his studies in the Organ aged 14 with Richard Darke (formerly of Bradford Cathedral), Keith Wright (formerly of Durham Cathedral) and later Simon Lindley (formerly of Leeds Minster). At the conservatoire, Josh studied the organ under professors Henry Fairs and Daniel Moult alongside visiting professors Martin Schmeding and Nathan Laube, the harpsichord with Martin Perkins, and choral conducting with Paul Spicer. Josh is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists, and was a Northern Ireland International Organ Competition highly commended finalist. Previous recital venues have included St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, and St Chad’s Cathedral, Birmingham. Prior to moving to the US, Josh held positions in the music departments of Worcester Cathedral, St. Davids Cathedral, and Tewkesbury Abbey. He now lives full-time in Los Angeles with his Louisiana-native husband and fellow devoted cat-dad, Carter.

DR. KRISTINA RIZZOTTO

BIO: Dr. Kristina Rizzotto has played concerts in Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, and in 22 American states. Highlights include Rīga Dom Cathedral and Liepāja’s Holy Trinity Cathedral in Latvia; Pelplin Cathedral International Organ Festival in Poland; Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston; Christopher Summer Festival in Vilnius, Lithuania; Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament in Buenos Aires; Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver; Anchorage Lutheran Church in Alaska; and the American Guild of Organists’ OrganFest 2021 at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Minnesota.

Dr. Rizzotto was named a member of The Diapason’s 20 Under 30 Class of 2017, which recognizes young leaders in the fields of organ, harpsichord, carillon, and church music. She is the Director of Music at Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Dr. Rizzotto is also a self-published composer for organ, choir, and piano, with emphasis in sacred repertoire for religious services. All her compositions are available for download at KristinaRizzotto.com and she is open for commissions. She was previously the organist at the Benedictine Abbey of Rio de Janeiro, built in 1590 and home of one of the oldest organs in South America, from 1773.

Kristina holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Music in Sacred Music and Organ Performance from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Magna cum Laude). She is grateful for the inspiration of her teachers and mentors, especially Miriam Grosman, Alexandre Rachid, Andrew Scanlon, Mark Taggart, and John Schwandt. Her doctoral dissertation was about the importance of music in the formation of the national identity of the Latvian people, focusing on organ compositions by Aivars Kalējs which represent the values and spirit of the Latvian heritage.

Dr. Rizzotto’s YouTube channel features nearly 400 organ, piano, and choral recordings which have been viewed over 2 million times.

ANDRÉ LOMBARDI

.

BIO: A native of Irvine, California, André Lombardi is an Organ Scholar at Christ (formerly Crystal) Cathedral studying with Mr. David Ball. This fall, he will be attending Rice University as an incoming freshman. His musical journey began as a chorister in the Diocesan Children’s Choir, and on tour at the San Francisco Cathedral, Oakland Cathedral, and St. Peter’s Basilica for a Papal Epiphany Mass. Currently, Andre sings in the English Adult Choir and Schola. As a Member-at-Large of the Orange County American Guild of Organists and an administrator for the 2022 Diocesan Children’s Choir Camp, Andre aspires to encourage his peers and future generations to probe their own artistic possibilities.

André is also an accomplished pianist who has earned Certificate of Merit Level 10 Distinction with State Honors. He founded the non-profit Kreative Kiddos, aimed at bringing interactive STEAM enrichment workshops to homeless youth. Kreative Kiddos also launched Project Create, a vlog-style video series that offers exposure to unique instruments, namely with the first episode featuring the organ. Andre has worked as a CDC Public Health Intern, had leadership roles in medical clubs throughout high school, and directed a bi-monthly podcast for students interested in STEM. In his free time, he enjoys scanning Yelp for quality food excursions, tuning into the latest K-pop and Korean dramas, and spending outdoor time with family.
