Deciding What Path to Take

Sometimes it’s hard to decide what path to take. Sometimes our stubbornness gets us walking in a maze, with many dead ends. Sometimes the path to God’s heart is very simple even if it’s not particularly straight. Last Sunday we experienced the labyrinth with candlelight and soft choral music from Taizé. The children were absolutely silent as they brought their worries and burdens to the center, released them to God, and returned to the beginning, feeling a lightness in following this prayerful path.

The main verbal responses afterwards were from our older boys who said how grateful they were that they could experience these things since most people don’t get that chance. This Sunday we’ll be working on forgiving 70 times 7, starting with a beachball volleyball counting on the courtyard at 10:20! And we’ll culminate our morning together with a children’s time in the Loft. Thank God for our staff and our congregation!
