Do you love me?

While the kids were at family camp (please look on our Facebook link for great pictures) last Sunday, we had an especially lovely time at Westwood Kids Choir when one of our little choristers was invited to help lead a song. Isn’t music amazing? The choir will be singing on Mother’s Day. Please have your child in the Narthex at 9:25 so they’ll be able to participate.

Family camp was full of hilarious goofballs and serious discussions about what is God like. Sunday morning was full of interpreting the nature of God by making collages and reading the fabulous book Maybe God Is Like That, Too? I will miss you all for the next three weeks. I’ll be with my sisters and our husbands in Italy. Be safe. Be happy. And shine the light of God into every cranny!

This next Sunday we will be learning about a conversation Jesus had with Peter. He asked “Do you love me?” several times, and we will learn that Peter said “YES!” We will be wondering about ways we can say YES to this question, too, and sharing our ideas of how to show love like Jesus . Since it will be Mother’s Day, we will also enjoy making some “love coupons” for our Mothers or Grandmothers.
