Finding My Home at Westwood UMC – Carol Truscott

Carol Truscott

I am grateful to call Westwood UMC my church home. From my very first Sunday, I was met with a warmth that went beyond friendly smiles and handshakes—the kind of welcome that quietly says, you matter here. That feeling didn’t fade after the first visit; it deepened.

Pastor Molly and Christopher’s sermons have deepened my understanding of Scripture in ways that challenge and inspire me. But even more transformative has been the community itself—a reminder that faith was never meant to be lived alone. Being among people who care about each other and their faith has strengthened my own commitment to living out my beliefs beyond Sunday mornings.

What continues to move me is how naturally Westwood’s values align with my Christian journey. This is a place where care is genuine, where you are seen as a whole person, and where spiritual growth is both invited and supported.

If you are prayerfully considering membership, my simple encouragement is this: take that next step. You will find a place where you are welcomed, supported, and nourished—spiritually and communally.

I am so glad I said yes. I believe you will be, too.
